Chapter 149
Forget it.
Once she becsuccessful, she would do what wealthy men did. She would keep a group of handsyoung
lovers and discard them at will.
Since the wealthy men could indulge themselves, why couldn't she do the same?
However, the more she thought about it, the emptier she felt. In the end, she cried herself to sleep, even
forgetting to shower and remove her makeup.
When she woke up in the morning, she was a mess.
She walked into the kitchen. "Gloria, makea cup of black coffee."
Gloria wiped her hands and smiled. "Mr. Dane is really considerate. He had ground the coffee in the morning and
brewed an entire pot. It's on the table."
Ethan Dane?
She walked into the dining hall with a frown. Lo and behold, Ethan was sitting at the table.
Unlike his usual gentle and elegant demeanor, he was showing off a different side of him. At that moment, he
was sipping the coffee while reading the newspaper with an indifferent face.

darken with a hint of anger.
Josephine noticed that this wasn't the first tshe had seen him make that face.
Could it be that he was only pretending to be friendly so that she would have a good impression of him?
She walked over, grabbed a piece of bread from the basket, and ate it. "Gloria said you made coffee. Is that
true?"
"es."
Ethan had already heard her footsteps approaching. He only put the newspaper neatly to the side when he heard
her speak. He then adjusted his glasses and stared at her.
What would you like? A latte or a cappuccino?"
Josephine answered, "I hate drinking lattes. Just giveblack coffee."
"Alright. Have a seat."
"Thank you."
When she sat down, she thought to herself, "Wait a minute, isn't this my home?"
His casual attitude he carried himself with made it look like he was the owner of the house instead.
Ethan smiled. "I made the bread, as well as the coffee. Does this count as my treat?"
"You made the bread?"
She was once again shocked by his actions.
Was that necessary?
"What tdid you wake up? Making bread takes a long time, doesn't it?"
Ethan placed a glass of milk in front of her and then started pouring the coffee. It's not that hard, and it doesn't
take up much time. Besides, | want you to taste my cooking."
Oh, she remembered. He had learned all these skills to pursue the woman of his dreams. She was just a test
subject.
With that thought, she decided not to hold back. She drank the milk and started sampling all the different bread
in the basket.
"This tastes good. This one is a little sweet. You should cut down on the sugar. Does this have vegetables and
meat in it? Is this still considered bread? Did you cup with this yourself?"
"The flavors blend quite well. Since you put so much thought into it, I'm sure the woman of your dreams would
be moved."
She gave her comments while tasting the bread, not realizing that she had eaten enough to make it a meal.
She also didn't realize that she was so focused on the food that she had forgotten about all the bad things from

agreement. He even took out his phone to take down notes of her feedback.
Josephine was intrigued. She went closer to look at his phone. "What are you recording?"
Ethan covered his phone with the other hand and said, "It's just snotes on how to improve the bread."
Josephine narrowed her eyes in suspicion. "That's all? Then why won't you letsee it?"
