Chapter 120
Josephine froze for a second before recalling her outfit for the night. All of a sudden, she felt a little self-
conscious. "I like it. Not that it's any of your business. But you shouldn't you be in Crestwood taking care of Uncle
Joe instead of wandering around aimlessly here?"
Yvan scoffed. "I like wandering around. Not that it's any of your business."
Josephine was rendered speechless. "Uncle Joe's seriously ill this time. Even if there's nothing you can do, you
should still visit him every day and be there for him. Don't regret it later."
"Oh?" Yvan tilted his head, smirking like he was waiting to pick a fight. "Got it. You're basically hoping my dad
won't make it."
Josephine sucked in a sharp breath. "Are you out of your mind? How could you twist my words like that?"
Yvan's smirk deepened. "Isn't that what you meant? Then go on; explain yourself. What kind of regrets were you
talking about?"
"|..." Damn it. That was what she meant. Josephine was at a loss for words. She glanced at the smokey-eyed

from him to avoid making his girlfriend jealous.
"I don't have tfor this. Do whatever you want." with that, she turned on her heel to leave-only to walk
straight into the man behind her. The impact was so sudden she almost lost her balance and fell.
The man she bumped into was obviously drunk. He swayed slightly, cursing under his breath. "Watch where
you're going!"
But the moment he got a good look at Josephine's face, his expression shifted. His eyes roamed over her, and a
lewd grin spread across his face. "Damn, you're gorgeous! If you callhandsome, I'll let you go."
Josephine was about to apologize when a tall figure suddenly stepped in front of her, blocking her view. It was
Yvan. He grabbed the drunk's collar and shoved him forward. "Scram!"
The drunk lost his balance and crashed onto the ground. He looked furious, about to start cursing again until his
eyes met Yvan's. One look at that sharp, menacing glare, and he swallowed his words. Clicking his tongue in
frustration, he rose to his feet, grumbling as he walked away.
Once the guy was gone, Yvan turned to Josephine and snapped, "Are you blind? Watch where you're going!"
Josephine returned his gaze, exasperated. "Oh, shut up. I'm leaving."
"What, no 'thank you'? | just saved you."
The sarcasm in his voice made her stop dead in the tracks. Josephine sighed and begrudgingly turned around.
"Fine. Thanks."
His tone was apathetic as he responded, "I thought | taught you better than that. Saying thank you isn't enough;
you have to show it through actions."
Her patience was wearing thin. "What do you want? Just tell me."
"With that attitude? Forget it. | won't be helping you again. But since you owefor this time, helppromote
my new album."
"Promote it how?" she asked, already dreading the answer. "Can | just leave a comment under your post?"
Yvan made a face and got uncomfortably close. "Could you be any more half- assed? At least make a dedicated
post!"
Josephine didn't even flinch at his proximity. Instead, she shot back heatedly, "Your fans would murder me! The
last tyou commented on my post, they were already accusingof clout-chasing. If | make a whole

"That sounds like a you problem. I've had plenty of female friends, yet no one else gets hate. Why do you think
you do? My fans aren't stupid. They can tell who actually cares aboutand who's just using me." Yvan
shrugged as if he couldn't care less.
"Fine. I'll post it. Happy now? Goodbye!" she ground out.
Using him. Back when they were flirting, he was the one who wrote songs for her. But the moment he got a
girlfriend, he ditched her and said she was using him. What a joke.
