Chapter 806 A sharp pain shot through Dylan, forcing him to his knees. Gritting his teeth, he looked up, only to see Hendrix already standing and shielding Noelle behind him.

Hendrix locked his gaze onto Dylan. His eyes were full of disdain, like Dylan was beneath him.

"You should be explaining yourself to Mr. Swift right now. Why don't you tellwhat really happened?" As he spoke, his eyes flicked toward Marshall.

By then, Marshall's expression had already turned ashen, and his chest was rising and falling violently. He looked as if he might pass out any second.

But Hendrix didn't care. He just grabbed Noelle's hand and walked out.

Noelle glanced back at Dylan one last time.

He was staring straight at her.

That look felt strangely familiar to Noelle, like she'd seen it somewhere before. She tried to catch a glimpse of Marla and Marshall, but before she could, Hendrix yanked her out of the private room.

Noelle couldn't help but ask, "Will they be okay in there?" "Relax. I told the staff to check on them. If Mr. Swift collapses, someone will take him to the hospital." His reply made Noelle frown. Then, it hit her. She looked up at him and said, "So, this was your real plan all along." Hendrix raised an eyebrow. "You played your part well, too. Were you bluffing Mrs. Swift earlier, or did you actually remember something?" "Yeah." "Yeah? To which question? Does that mean you really remembered something?" Noelle shook her head. "No. I just wanted to see how they'd react." "By now, you should know that the Swifts are involved in your disappearance, or maybe this whole thing was a plot they orchestrated together with Dylan." They reached the restaurant's exit just as Levi pulled up.

Hendrix waited for Noelle to get in before sliding in beside her. "Actually, I was also testing them tonight," he said slowly. "If I'd been wrong about them, I might've left them off." He would do so for Seline's sake. But those two weren't in the right mind to know any better.

If they still held a grudge against Noelle because of Seline's death, Hendrix could understand. He would give them whatever they wanted.

But if they indulged or even assisted Dylan in doing those things, and even went so far as to harm Noelle, then they couldn't blhim for his retaliation.

Since Marshall trusted Dylan so much, deserved to see what his golden boy had been doing behind his back. It would be a real spectacle when they turned on each other.

"What happens next?" Noelle asked quietly.

Hendrix glanced at her. "Are you feeling sorry for them?" "No. I just want to know."

"It depends on how their fight plays out. But someone's got to take the fall for this. It's just a matter of who gets thrown under the bus." Hendrix's tone was light, but Noelle knew that things were never this simple- behind those simple words were layers of schemes.

What followed in Coppersville would certainly not be peaceful, and there W. would be no winners between Marshall and Dylan.

Noelle didn't want to be part of it. After peering out of the window, she decided to change the subject, suddenly asking, "Where are we going?"
