Chapter 756 Irene owned a plot of land in the village. She used to grow corn on it, but in the past two years, a contractor from the neighboring village had cby, so she switched to growing strawberries instead.
It was now the season for planting seedlings. After the morning's commotion, Noelle had convinced Irene to rest at hand took over the planting work herself.
The task wasn't particularly strenuous, but bending over for long periods was exhausting. Noelle squatted down, but after a while, she started feeling dizzy. She closed her eyes, preparing to take a short break, when somebody suddenly yanked her up.
Hendrix frowned at her and asked, "What are you doing?" Noelle was startled for a moment, then clumsily pushed his hand away. Only after taking several steps back to put a safe distance between them did she finally ask, "What are you doing here?" Hendrix's frown deepened at her reaction. "Are you afraid of me?" "No," Noelle quickly denied it. Her flustered expression made it seem like she was worried he might misunderstand or feel hurt. "It's just my mom doesn't wantto be around you. She'll get angry if she finds out about this." Hendrix looked at her, then suddenly smiled and took a couple of steps closer to her. "Why? Does she think I'm a bad person?" "Yes." "But you know I'm not, right?" he said slowly. "Since you already know that, why listen to her?" Noelle frowned slightly. It was as if she didn't understand the logic in his words, or perhaps she was just caught in sinternal conflict.

"Wouldn't that be lying?" "It's not lying. You're just not letting her know." Noelle had no response to that.
Hendrix changed the subject. "What are you doing here?" "Planting strawberries." At this, Noelle remembered her task and bent down to continue.
But Hendrix pulled her up again. "Who said you could do this?" His expression was even darker than before. He didn't mind staying here with her, because he knew that Noelle was truly happy and content to be by Irene's side.
But he hadn't let her stay here to do farm work. There was no way he was going to let the woman he had carefully cared for to be tilling the soil.
Hendrix looked down, and when he saw the dirt on Noelle's hands, his expression grew even more grim.
"Cwith me." As soon as he finished speaking, he tried to pull her away.
But Noelle quickly shook off his hand. "Letgo! I haven't finished my work yet!" "I won't allow you to do this anymore." "No." Noelle rejected him without hesitation. "If I don't do it, my mom will have to. And she's getting old, so I really can't bear to let her do it.
So, was he supposed to just stand by and bear it? Hendrix didn't argue with her. Instead, he took a deep breath and said, "Is planting this stuff absolutely necessary? "Yes." "Fine. Wait here." With that, Hendrix turned around and made a phone call.
Noelle was puzzled at first. But then, Jerry suddenly showed up with

For something as simple as planting strawberries, Hendrix offered a rate hendrix of 500. dollars a day, so countless people were eager to take the job.
Once they arrived, they immediately got to work.
Hendrix gave a satisfied nod, then turned back to Noelle. "Will this do?"
Noelle found the whole thing somewhat absurd, yet she couldn't pinpoint what was wrong with it. In the end, she could only stay silent.
