Chapter 48 Max's eyes flickered.
He was thinking, maybe it was from the club he had been in earlier.
Then he chuckled, "I went to the hospital to change fresh dressing for my wound this morning, it might be the perffrom the nurse." Orlena didn't look satisfied, she was playing with her nails, cooing, "That little nurse must be young and pretty, right? You must have enjoyed it when she was changing fresh dressing for your wound." Max laughed.
He gently pinched her face, "Are you really getting jealous over this?" Orlena loved him deeply, she didn't really suspect him. A little coaxing from him and she would forget it all, leaning on his shoulder with a sweet smile.
Parker was playing chess and said, "You're a lady, be like one!" As parents, how could they not understand their own child? Harvey had warned that Orlena was too naive and Max would take advantage of her.

Just then, Pauline cover and said with a smile, "If Harvey isn't coming back, let's eat first. The servants have prepared the food." Orlena got up, holding onto Max's arm affectionately.
Parker and his wife exchanged a glance and smiled.
The atmosphere in the dining room was great, Max was a good talker, everyone in the Horigan family liked him. After dinner, Orlena pulled him up to her bedroom on the second floor.
When the door closed, she initiated a kiss... wanting to get intimate with him.
But Max was injured and had been with another woman in the morning, he didn't have the energy to deal with it. Besides, he wasn't in the mood, so he just gave her a few kisses to appease her.
He teased her with a hoarse voice, "Wait a few more days, okay?" Orlena blushed.
She held his waist, smelling his scent, "I really wish you could take a bath and wash off the perfscent. But since it's from the nurse, I won't mind it." Max's gaze darkened slightly.
They took a nap together.

"Yep! I'm back at the Manor for a bit, I'll pick you up around five! You get your luggage ready." Max's whole body was tense, he knew Harvey was talking to Eloise on the phone. Eloise... is she moving in with Harvey? At that moment, Harvey suddenly looked up and saw Max. Their eyes met. Harvey chuckled lightly.
He spoke gently to the person on the other end of the phone "It's nothing, just saw someone I know! Gotta hang up...anything you can't bring, we can buy later." After saying that, he hung up the phone.
Max's face was extremely livid! At that moment, Orlena woke up, cover and hugged his waist wanting to kiss him, but Max wasn't in the mood. "Your brother's back, let's go downstairs." Orlena, naive as she was, sensed his coldness towards her and felt a bit dejected.
Max coaxed her a bit.

Harvey was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine. Orlena jumped into his lap and said, "Brother." Harvey pinched her face, "You're a big girl now and still so dependent on me, be careful that Max will get jealous."
"He won't." Orlena held his arm and said, "Brother, you mentioned last tthat you have a few projects going on, better to do them for your own family than for others."
Harvey lifted his eyes to look at Max, his smile full of implications, "Dad said that when a daughter grows up, she will start to favor other men, he was right." "Don't talk nonsense." Orlena blushed.
