The butler couldn't resist saying, "Sir..." "Keep it down!" Caelum commanded, thumping his cane against the floor with authority. Until he was absolutely sure that Kiran's old personality was gone for good, Angelo wasn't going anywhere.

Later that afternoon, Sophie was cozied up in Colby's arms. Colby usually got by on just four or five hours of sleep a night, waking up naturally if he slept any longer. Feeling Sophie snuggle closer, he gently asked, "Want to catch a few more winks?" Sophie blinked her sleepy eyes open, and seeing Colby there, she wrapped her arms around his waist, mumbling, "I'm kinda hungry." They were cuddled up close, which wasn't unusual in itself, but Sophie had been recovering from injuries for the past month, so they hadn't shared a bed much.
Colby had been extra cautious not to hurt Sophie, opting to sleep on the couch while keeping an eye on her. Now, with Sophie being all cute in his arms, Colby felt a lump in his throat.
"Hmm? What's up? You're quiet," Sophie noticed, still half-asleep. She felt something warm beneath her, and when she realized what it was, her cheeks turned bright red.
She thought about pulling away, but Colby tightened his grip around her waist, his voice low and gravelly, "Funny, I'm feeling a bit hungry too." His hand was as warm as a hot iron, and there was a hint of longing in his eyes.
For the last month, he hadn't dared to touch her much, worried about her healing wounds. Right then, he was silently asking for her permission with his gaze. But before Sophie could say anything, the ringtone of a phone broke the moment.
Sophie sighed, "The phone's ringing." Colby simply sat back, waiting patiently as Sophie took the call.
Seeing Reece's nflash on the screen, Sophie answered. "Sophie, are you guys out of the country?" Reece's voice cthrough the line.

"There's a big gala tonight overseas, and word is a lot of The Silent Gom Shadows members wil be there. It's their monthly shindig for recruiting new members. I'll fill you in more when I get there." "You're coming out here too?" Sophie asked, a bit taken aback.
Reece chuckled, "Yeah, I'm attending in a professional capacity. Freckon my status as an actor givesenough clout."
As Sophie continued chatting with Reece, Colby cut in, directing his words to Reece on the other end, "You done yet? 'Cause I'm about to hang up."
