Chapter 111 CEO Ambrose, Spare me!
Few people knew, not even Galatea herself, that Ambrose was skilled in martial arts.
"Where the fuck do you think you're messing around?" Ambrose had already broken the arm of one person and
pinned him to the ground. The other one was trembling with fear, retreating backward but still defiant with his
words. "Have you ever heard of Brother Timothy from Ninth Street? If you dare to touch us, be careful of Brother
Timothy..."
Before he could finish speaking, Ambrose released the man's arm and swiftly kicked towards the speaker. The
force was so strong that it sent him flying far away.
Just as his back hit the ground, Ambrose approached and stomped heavily on his chest, twisting it like stubbing
out a cigarette.
"Go back and tell Brother Timothy that my nis Ambrose. Tell him to cseetomorrow; otherwise, none
of you will survive!"
After giving the warning, Ambrose kicked him hard once again. Then he brushed off his clothes.
Galatea had never encountered such a situation before. She had just managed to get a loan and had already
paid seven hundred thousand to Alaric. She wouldn't give these thugs a hundred thousand in vain. If they came
tomorrow, she would call the police. She didn't believe there was any justice left.
Cleaning up the broken cups and chairs, Galatea locked the shop door and hailed a taxi. As she got into the car,
she still felt a bit scared. Galatea breathed a huge sigh of relief and leaned back in the seat to relax. And she
didn't find there was a car following behind the taxi.
Ambrose had been secretly following her in his car until the taxi stopped, and he could see Galatea get out and
enter the community.
Ambrose looked at the community and was surprised to find it was so close to Nexus Innovations. Did Alaric
arrange this? Did he incage Galatea?
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAfter returning home, Galatea took a shower and went back to her bedroom. From her bedroom window, she
could see Alaric's lounge. As she went to close the curtains, she immediately noticed that the lights in his lounge
were off. Was he not living at the company anymore?
Thinking about it, Galatea found it amusing. Why did she care about where Alaric was and what he was doing?
She felt like her whole world was peaceful without him in the past few days.
Galatea was really tired tonight, and she fell asleep quickly. Meanwhile, Alaric was wide awake in the hospital
room.
Having been unconscious for two days and nights, he had slept too much, and now there was no sleepiness left.
He was alone in the large hospital room, and even the sound of a needle falling on the floor could be heard in the
silence. He picked up his phone again, but there were no messages. Then, he turned it off. Due to the rush to be
hospitalized, he didn't bring any books or work materials. He felt that this was the most boring moment of his
life. Unable to do anything, he could only clear his mind and stare at the ceiling, constantly thinking about
something. Every second felt so long now. It felt like torture for him to stay here for a week. But there was no
other choice.
Early the next morning, Galatea dropped off her two children at school and then headed to her shop.
The construction workers had already arrived. Maybe it was because these workers were present that she felt
more courageous, so she stood at the entrance. If she saw those people again who were collecting protection
fees, she would immediately call the police.
It was strange that she hadn't seen any sign of those bad guys. Could they be trying to scare her last night? It's
impossible.
"CEO Ambrose, there's a person named Timothy outside looking for you," Denny reported to Ambrose as he
walked over to the construction site. "Okay," Ambrose responded indifferently, then turned to the laborers and
said, "It's hot today. You've all worked hard. I'll treat you all to lunch." Then Ambrose instructed Denny, "Arrange
transportation and find the best hotel. I'll cover all expenses."
"Okay, CEO Ambrose, I'll arrange it immediately."
Denny made several phone calls and arranged for several buses. When the laborers heard that Ambrose was
inviting them to a nice hotel for lunch, they were overjoyed and said:
"CEO Ambrose is such a good person. We've been working as laborers for so many years and have never
encountered an entrepreneur who treats us so well."
"Yeah, CEO Ambrose was a good person, and we need to work hard for him."
"Yes, we must work hard!"
After all the workers got on the bus, Ambrose walked away. Ambrose's bodyguards had already beaten up
Timothy. When Timothy saw Ambrose coming in, he immediately begged, "CEO Ambrose, we are just a group of
punks. How could we dare provoke you? Haven't you been to Arizona for long? We have never met before, so |
really don't know where | offended CEO Ambrose."
Ambrose remained silent and just sat on the chair, looking down at him with an oppressive sense of superiority.
Then, Denny signaled to his subordinates, and they started beating and kicking Timothy again.
"CEO Ambrose, spare me! Please spare me!" Timothy desperately begged while holding his head. "I am ignorant.
| am foolish. | really don't know where | offended CEO Ambrose. Please tell me, and | will change. Spare me!"
Ambrose raised his hand, gesturing for them to stop for now. Timothy, beaten to the point of immobility, lay on
the ground like a pile of mud.
Ambrose approached him, crouched down in front of him, and grabbed his head, forcing him to look at himself.
"Is Everpeace Street your territory?" Ambrose asked.
"Yes... no, it isn't."
"My girlfriend's shop is on that street. Last night, your two lackeys cto collect protection money and scared
my girlfriend," Ambrose explained.
As soon as Ambrose said this, Timothy understood. He quickly begged for forgiveness, saying, "CEO Ambrose,
it's my lackeys who acted without my knowledge. They went to collect protection money behind my back. |
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmwould punish them when | returned. | will definitely not let them bother your girlfriend again."
Upon hearing this, Ambrose smiled, but danger flickered in his smile. Timothy followed with a smile. However,
Ambrose suddenly slapped him hard in the face before he could finish smiling.
"I don't care whether you know or not. If your lackeys make mistakes, it is your fault!" Ambrose stood up and
then instructed Denny, "No one gets seriously hurt."
"es."
Ambrose stepped away, and Denny ordered his subordinates, "Continue beating!"
Ambrose slowly walked out of the construction site, leaving behind Timothy's screams of pain and pleas for
mercy.
As the day went by, Galatea felt uneasy. Were they really not coming? Or were these people only arrived at
night?
When the construction workers left in the evening, Galatea stayed behind, mustering up the courage to stand at
the door and wait.
Meanwhile, Ambrose observed this scene through his telescope, smiling at Galatea. He soliloquized, "Silly girl.
Why are you waiting here instead of hiding when faced with such a situation? Aren't you afraid of suffering
losses?" Then Ambrose laughed again and answered himself, "But | won't let you suffer losses!"
For the past few days, he had been watching Galatea. Every night, Galatea took a taxi halone, and Alaric
never appeared.
Alaric, if you can't even protect your own woman, do you really deserve to be a man?
