Chapter 75:
At the Thomas family estate, Mollie was really upset, clenching her teeth. “Verena has no shame!”
Belinda gently patted Mollie's back, saying softly, “Don’t get upset, Mollie. | didn’t let her win.”
Then, she told Mollie what had happened last night. Mollie felt better after hearing that.
“You did great, Belinda! Keep dealing with that woman like that.”
Even though you're planning to divorce Lucas in a month, you're still his wife right now, so you have the right to
stand your ground! Why let people who upset you get away with it? You have the moral high ground now. You
have nothing to fear!” Mollie said firmly.
Belinda smiled and replied, “That's exactly what I think.”

After talking to Mollie for a bit, Belinda left the estate and went back to the hospital to continue her work. During
her shift, Belinda’s phone rang. It was Holley on the line. “Belinda, can you cover after work? I'd love to see
you at the Wright family home,” Holley’s voice cthrough.
Belinda paused, pressing her lips tight before responding, “I'd rather not return to the Wright family hnow.
Let's meet at Vera Villas instead.”
There was a brief silence from Holley. A realization dawned on Belinda, and she chuckled derisively. “You're not
the one asking for this visit, are you? Dad put you up to this, didn’t he?”

Holley quickly responded, “Yes, your father askedto call you, but I truly do miss you.”
Belinda let out a cold laugh and said, “Fine, tell him I'll be there tonight.” She ended the call abruptly, not waiting
for any reply from Holley.
Belinda understood the real reason behind her father’s summons. She recalled how she had publicly called out
Kylee’s mistake at the hospital. She knew Kylee would tell this to Baker and complain about it. A smirk played on
Belinda’s lips as she pondered this.
Later, as she was changing in the locker room, her phone rang once more. Seeing the caller ID, she raised an
eyebrow in surprise. She swiped to answer and said casually, “Hello.”
A hoarse, cold voice responded from the other end of the line, “I'm waiting for you in the parking lot at the Grand
Plains General Hospital.”
“Chere now.” The call was from Lucas.

Lucas responded in a resonant tone, “My dad insists | accompany you to the Wright family estate.” This caught
Belinda off guard. Earlier, Harold had invited her to dinner, and she had informed him of her plans to visit the
Wright estate in the evening. He had said nothing about Lucas coming along at that time.
“You have ten minutes,” Lucas stated abruptly, ending the call before Belinda could reply.
